Insulation failure is one of the most common causes of electrical break-down. Regular testing however will reveal insulation weakness at early stage before serious damage can occur. Preventive insulation testing of electrical rotating machines, power distribution lines, communication cables, insulators, control and switching equipment etc. is therefore essential to avoid eventual breakdown.SAKOVA Megtester is a robust instrument incorporating a built-in hand driven generator and a solid state circuit for stabilized DC output. The insulation resistance measured is indicated on a logarithmic scale. SAKOVA Megtester meets the requirements of Indian Standard Specification IS: 2992-1980.

• Smooth Generator: Rotary magnet generator runs smooth with minimum noise because of the excellent dynamic balance of rotating parts
• Electronically Regulated Output Voltage: Electronic regulation provides excellent long term voltage stability  which is not possible with conventional centrifugal clutch mechanisms.
• Ohm Meter: The insulation resistance indicated by a moving coil type indicator on a logarithmic scale.
• Quick Response: Quick response saves time and extends life of generator.
